Behind outstanding starting pitching, Ferrum College swept Maryville College in a USA South double header on MC's Scotland Yard by the scores of 9-1 and 12-9 on Saturday.
The Panther's Hunter Peck (4-1) tossed a complete game four-hitter while striking out a dozen Scots. The lone run allowed by the left-hander was unearned.

In the second challenge of the day, Ferrum's Dillon Weaver tossed a three-hit shutout over five complete innings to earn his first win of the season.
Maryville, trailing 4-0 after five, fought back against relievers Trevor Otey and Braxton Wheeler to score nine runs in the final four innings. The comeback was thwarted when Jacob Holland closed the gave for a save with a key strikeout.
Ferrum (11-10, 6-2 USA South) was paced offensively by Dominick Claxton (3-for-5) and Lane Deaver (inside the park grand slam).
