Maryville College saw four players score in double figures, as the Scots used a 13-0 second-quarter run to win the Battle of the Scots, 82-70.

Kelley Wandell, Brooke McCurdy, Libby Gardner and Klaire Varney each scored double-digits, as Maryville led by McCurdy's six treys in the USA South victory over Covenant College.

MC fell behind by five in the first quarter, as they fought their way back. Trailing 20-19 toward the end of the first, Varney bucketed a trey from Delaney Lowery to take a 22-20 lead after one quarter.

Varney found her second trey off a Catherin Upshaw assist to extend the lead to MC's biggest of the game, 34-22, at the 6:06 mark of the second quarter.

Maryville extended their lead to as many as 15, before the Scots took a 44-33 lead to the break.

Covenant would shot 45 percent through the third quarter to outscore the Scots, 21-12, cutting Maryville's lead to just three. MC fought off the rally, as they made 14 free throws in the fourth for the conference victory.
