Maryville Women's Golfers Fifth at Jim English Invitational

The Maryville College women's golf team posted back to back rounds of 361 for a 722 total which was good enough for fifth place at the Jim English Invitational hosted by Centre College in Danville Kentucky. 

Alexis Meyer led the Scots with rounds of 83-88.  Her 171 total put her in 21st place individually. Grace Gass and Sarah Grace Holland each posted a team best 87 to lead the Scots in round two over the par 73 Danville Country Club layout.  

Gass finished 25th individually with 88-87 and a 175 total while Holland's 89-87=176 left her in a tie for 26th.  Elaina Davis 101-99=200 finished 40th.

Center College with 614 took the team title with consecutive rounds of 307 which gave them a 15 stroke victory over the runner-up DePauw University.  Centre's Jill Edgerton won the individual title with 75-75=150.
