Alexis Meyer led the Maryville College women's golf team in the opening round of the Tennessee Wesleyan Spring Invitational. Meyer's round of 89 over a demanding Tennessee a National Golf Course put her in 27th place individually and helped her team to a 389 total and 9th place out of 10 teams going into Tuesday's final round.
Northwestern Ohio holds the team lead with a score of 315 which is good enough for a four stroke lead over Loyola University of New Orleans. Loyola's Daria Delfina has the individual lead after an even par 72.
The final round is scheduled to get under way on Tuesday morning.
