Scots Women's Golfers 10th after round one in Greensboro

The Maryville College women's golf team shot 364 and are in 10th place in a field of 13 teams after the first round of the Callaway Invitational in Greensboro, NC.  Freshman Alexis Meyer led the Scots with an 84 and is tied for 31st place in a field of 63 players.

Senior Sarah Grace Holland is 41st with an 89 and sophomore Grace Gass is tied for 44th after posting a round of 91.  Freshman Elaina Davis's score of 100 counted toward the team's total. Heather Ellis posted an opening round of 104.

Methodist University (308) holds the first round lead by one stroke over Washington and Lee University and are two strokes ahead of Oglethorpe University.

Johanna Beehner of Methodist and Mara Tiger of Oglethorpe share the first round lead individually after matching rounds of even par 72.

The final round of the Callaway Invitational will be contested on Tuesday at the Players Course at Bryan Park in Greensboro, NC.
