Scot Golfers Ninth at Greensboro

The Maryville College women's golf team finished ninth at the Callaway Invitational in Greensboro, NC.  The Scots posted scores of 364-369 for a 733 total.

Alexis Meyer led the Scots with rounds of 84-90.  Her 174 total was good enough for a 37th place finish.  Grace Gass was 44th after rounds of 91-90 for 181.  Sarah Holland totaled 182 and finished 45th after rounds of 89-93.

Elaina Davis improved from 100 to 98 for 198 total and Heather Ellis from made the biggest improvement from 104 to 96.

Methodist University won the team title after rounds of 308-300.  Their 608 total was 14 strokes better than the runner-up Berry College.

Johnna Beecher took the individual crown at one under par 143 after consistent rounds of 72-71.

Maryville will play their final event of the season on April 10-11 at the Cumberland University Invitational at Five Oaks GC in Mt Juliet, TN.
