The Maryville College women's golf program competed in the Generals' Invitational in Lexington, Virginia on October 2-3.
The Scots finished the two-round challenge with a 382-387-769 performance for a ninth-place finish among a dozen institutions.
Bridgewater College's Christina Herbert took tournament individual honors with a 2-under par 73-69-142. USA South foe Methodist University took team top honors with a 311-314-625 collective effort.
Maryville College sophomore Elaina Davis was the Scots' top finisher with an 88-95-183 for 45th place among 72 golfers. Davis' opening round of 88 was her career low while wearing the orange and garnet.
Freshman Katelyn Witucki recorded a 46th place finish after improving her first-day score by 10 strokes with a 97-87-184. Sophomore Heather Ellis placed 56th with a 98-99-197 effort. Freshman Katelyn Curtis added a 99-106-205 outing while fellow freshman McCall Smallwood completed the Lexington Golf and Country Club course with a 130-111-241.
The MC women's program will now prepare for the Chick-Fil-A Collegiate Invitational at Coosa Country Club in Rome, Georgia on October 23-24.
