Guillaume paces Scots at MC Invitational

The Maryville College Cross Country program hosted the 2015 MC Invitational on Saturday, October 3rd.

 

The MC women placed third in the collegiate division with Covenant College taking the team crown.

 

Covenant's Ruthine Cargill took overall honors with a 25:08 5K pace. Maryville was led by Emily Guillaume who finished second with a 26:11 time.

 

Additional Maryville runners who set the pace for the 34 runner field included: June Rosenbarker (8th, 27:27), Chandler Chastain (12th, 29:19), Makayla May (16th, 29:47), and Molly Ridgeway (19th, 30:22).

 

The Maryville men harriers finished second among four challengers with Covenant also claiming the men's team title.

 

Johnson University's Ryan Franklin won the individual crown (29:43) with MC's Sean Hagstrom claiming second with a 30:09 race. Maryville's Andrew Trotter finished 6th with a time of 31:16.

 

Additional MC finishers in the 31 runner event include: Max Nopola (15th, 34:50), Johnathan Gorenflo (17th, 35:15), and Hunter Moore (21st, 37:38).

 

The Maryville program will now prepare for the Furman University Invitational in Greenville, South Carolina on October 10th.
