The Maryville College Scots slipped three spots in the final day of the Adidas Intercollegiate, as MC finished the 54-hole tournament ranked 12th overall.
MC posted a third-round 314 on the 6,789-yard Dataw Island Club's Cotton Dike Course. That total gave the Scots a total of 923 – just two strokes off a top-10 finish.
Oglethorpe University maintained their lead after 36 holes on the final day, as the Stormy Petrels posted an eight-over 296 in the final round. They shot an 883 for a 19-over tournament.
Hampden-Sydney College ranked second overall with an 886, while North Carolina Wesleyan College ranked third at 897.
Texas Lutheran's Colin Uecker, York College's (PA) Casey Leebrick and Millikin University's Michael Barber finished tied for the lead, as Leebrick took the crown via tie breaker. Each of the golfers finished the 54-hole even with an even-par 216.
Justin Rickerson of Oglethorpe and Adam Hade of Hampden-Sydney tied for fourth with matching one-over 217s.
MC's Garrett Compliment stayed consistent from the second to the third round, as he posted a four-over 76. Tyler Bray matched Compliment's performance, while D.J. Shelton and Andy Cofer shot matching 81s. Wil Manuel finished the tournament with an 83.
Bray ranked tied for 15th overall with a seven-over 223. Shelton managed a top-30 finish in a field of 110 golfers, as the senior tied for 27th with a 229.
Maryville College will continue their spring break trip, as the Scots head to Pine Lakes Golf Course in Jekyll Island, Ga.
The Jekyll Island Intercollegiate will kick off on Friday, March 15 for a three-day, 54-hole event.
