19        Nate Long

JUNIOR: Nate played in and started all 20 games, and recorded 1 goal on the season from his defensive position.  For his excellent play throughout the season, Nate was named to the USA South All-Conference 1^st team, and the USA South All-Tournament team.  He was also recognized on a regional level by being named to the United Soccer Coaches All-South Atlantic Region 3^rd team.  Nate was again recognized for his excellence in the classroom by being named USA South Academic All-Conference, United Soccer Coaches Academic All-South Region, and United Soccer Coaches Academic All-America.
SOPHOMORE: As a sophomore, Nate started all 21 games at center back, and for his excellent play during the conference tournament was selected to the USA South All-Conference tournament team.  Nate was also named to the USA South Academic All-Conference team for his excellent work in the classroom.
FRESHMAN: Nate saw playing time in 16 games as a freshman with 2 of them being starts, and he finished the season recording 1 assist.  He also tallied 7 shots with 2 of them being on goal.
PREP:  Nate was a standout midfielder for the Red Raiders under Head Coach Scott Webb.  Long was a four-year letterman in varsity soccer leading his team to the state playoffs for two consecutive seasons.  Long played his club soccer for Charlotte Soccer Academy under the direction of Head Coach Joe Crump.

PERSONAL:  Nate is majoring in Biology and he is the son of Steve and Kim Long.
