Maryville College's Johnny Rakhmonberdiev has been named a United Soccer Coaches Association All South-Atlantic region selection. Johnny was named to the association's third team.
Rakhmonberdiev, a junior forward from Sevierville, Tennessee, helped the Scots to an 11-9 overall mark while going 8-5 in USA South Athletic Conference action. Johnny deposited a team-high seven goals while leading the Scots with 11 assists for 25 points on the season.
In his three-year career, Rakhmonberdiev has directed 18 goals and 16 assists for 52 career points. He has four game-winning goals including a pair of game winners this season.
"Coming back from an injury, Johnny did a great job progressing throughout the season," stated Maryville College Head Coach Pepe Fernandez. "He is so dynamic offensively. He had to battle numerous double team defenses and his vision opened the opportunity for more assist possibilities of which he took advantage. He had to be more creative to help the team and his athleticism took over."
