Annie Fowler commits to Maryville College softball

Annie Fowler will be joining the Scots Softball team looking to continue her athletic along with her academic careers at Maryville College. Fowler hails from Everett, Washington's Everett High and looks to bolster Coach Leah Kelley's roster as a middle-infield player.

Annie was a celebrated academic her four years at Everett High. In 2017, '18, and '19, she was named to be an Academic MVP. Fowler graduated Valedictorian was named as an All-Wesco Conference Honorable Mention performer in 2019. Fowler lettered in softball all four years of her high school career.

Coach Kelley speaks on the distance of Everett to Maryville before celebrating Annie's academic nature, "I don't think you get any further from Maryville than Everett, Washington. But Annie knew right away she wanted to call Maryville home for the next four years. She does things the right way on and off the field. Being Valedictorian of her class speaks to the type of student-athlete she is."

Fowler will be joining a Scots Softball club that has had much success in recent seasons claiming back-to-back titles USA South Tournament play. Coach Kelley and the rest of her club will be looking forward to Annie joining the team in the upcoming season.
