Following a first-day 360 (+72), Maryville came out in chilly conditions on Tuesday to post a 368 (+80) in the second round.
"Really, we went into this tournament with a lot of high expectations – possibly too high – because it was a home course," Head Women's Golf Coach Jason Henderson said. "We had good conditions and a few good nine-hole scores here and there, but it was a little difficult to bring it all together."
Witucki followed her 11-over 83 on Monday with an 86 in Tuesday's competition. She held on to tie Piedmont College's Jordan Abbott with matching 169s.
The duo made the All-Tournament roster, while Piedmont's Kensley Brown, Samantha Bearden and Jana Guy also took home hardware as the top-five in the competition.
"Katelyn has got a great head on her shoulders," Henderson said. "She's an extremely good golfer with a ton of potential. She holds her emotions in very well, and she have a beautiful golf swing. She's a very coachable individual. I love working with her, and equally have high expectations for Katelyn."
Piedmont's Guy won the tournament with a 12-over 156, as Bearden took second with a 20-over 164. Brown was third with a 166, as Witucki and Abbott rounded out the top five.
Grace Gass was 15th with a 190, as Hannah Doherty took 17th at an even 200. Playing as individuals, Bailee Powell ranked 18th with a 202, as McCall Smallwood's 213 was good enough for 22nd. Kaysi Royston rounded out the scoring for Maryville with a 221 in 23rd.
Capital University saw four of their five golfers rank in the top 10, as three of those improved in day two.
Maryville will look next to the Chic-Fil-A Invitational in Rome, Ga. The Scots will take to the Coosa Country Club course for a two-round bout on Oct. 22-23.
