The Maryville College women's soccer program went on the offensive on Sunday directing 36 shots on USA South foe Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. The Scots took the league challenge by the score of 9-0 to remain undefeated in USA South play.
Junior Shannon Reagan recorded her 5th goal of the season just a minute later at the 19:33 mark unassisted to put her career goal total in the orange and garnet at 20.
Freshman Lexi Reeves lit up the scoreboard in the 25th minute with her 1st career goal, unassisted.
Sophomore Lindsey Lewallan completed the scoring at the half at the 40:28 mark with her first goal of the season off another Eiselstein assist.
At the half, Maryville led the Wolves 6-0.
The Scots would post a trio of goals in the final 45-minutes.
Jenna Clothier found the back of the net for her second goal of the season in the 47th minute.
Junior Hannah Clothier completed MC's scoring with her second goal of the season, unassisted.
Maryville finished the contest outshooting Wesleyan 36-6 with 23 shots on goal by the Scots. Abbey Coleman, Hayli Meeks, and Spencer Ann Mitchell shared the shutout victory in net for the Scots collectively turning away four shots on goal.
The Scots advance to 8-4 overall and 5-0 in USA South action. Wesleyan falls to 1-10 and 0-3 in league challenges.
Maryville will prepare to travel to Atlanta next Tuesday to challenge Emory University in a non-conference matchup.
