The Maryville College volleyball squad fell to 2-3 after dropping a match to Roanoke College by the score of 3-0 with sets of 25-20, 25-15, 25-21.

The Scots early five-point run in the first set fell short as the tournament host was able to rally and hold off MC for the set victory.

Seniors Dejane Hester-Taylor and Brianne Sidner bolstered the Scots offensive attack landing six kills apiece.

Senior Libero MacKenzie Marcrum had a strong defensive game tallying a dozen defensive digs.

Setter Saidee McDaniel ended her day with a total of 33 assists adding 15 against Roanoke to her earlier 18 against Greensboro.

Maryville will conclude their Virginia swing with a pair of matches on Saturday against Hollins University and Ferrum College to conclude the Roanoke Invitational.
