Gregory Hernandez, a 2010 Maryville College graduate, begins his second season in 2015-16 assisting Head Coach Randy Lambert with the Fighting Scots men's basketball program.

The LaSalle High School graduate came to MC from Miami, Florida in 2006. Under Lambert's tutelage, Hernandez earned All-Great South Athletic Conference honors as a post presence following the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 seasons. As a team captain in 2009, he was named the GSAC Conference player of the year. His standout senior season helped him garner NABC and D3Hoops.com All-American accolades.

Upon graduation with a degree in business administration, Greg signed to play professional basketball in England. In 2011 he excelled for the RCT Glamorgan Gladiators where he was named the England Basketball League Division II Player of the Year. With the Essex Leopards in 2013, he earned the England Basketball League Division I Finals MVP honor.

Hernandez will join Lambert and Raul Placeres as they embark on their fourth season of competition in the USA South Athletic Conference.
