The Fighting Scots, riding a two-game winning streak, travel to Macon, Ga. for a conference match up with Wesleyan, the second meeting between the two teams this season. Maryville won the first meeting between the two 75-34 back on Jan. 7 in MC's first CCS match of the year.
Last time out, Maryville used their stingy defense to lock down Covenant when they needed it the most, shutting down the 10-0 Scots run and hitting three of their final four free-throws to seal the game 59-53.
Ella Haney was the leading scorer for the Maryville on the night, with 12 points and six rebounds. Haney's scoring effort put her over 200 points on the season and over 600 in her career. She is averaging 12.7 points and 5.4 rebounds per game this season.
Ella Tharpe was the other Scot in double digits with 10 points and two rebounds on the night. The leading rebounder on the night was
Emma Huskey who hauled in seven while also scoring nine. She is fifth in the conference in total rebounds and fourth in offensive rebounds (total & per game).
MC is 9-0 all-time against Wesleyan dating back to Jan. 6 of 2018, and are averaging 77.67 points against the Wolves. Maryville won that first match up between the two schools 72-43.
