MARYVILLE –
Paige Dickinson went from hitting the roof of the new batting cage facility on one pitch – albeit in foul territory – to hitting the scoreboard on the next pitch.

That second smash was fair and waaaaay out of the ballpark, giving the junior Home Run No. 2 this season and helping Maryville to a 7-4 victory against Randolph. The visiting Wildcats won the second game 15-4 in five innings.

Dickinson had her first three-hit game of 2025 on her way to a 4-for-7 performance in the doubleheader. She has her batting average up to a season-high .271, which is within shouting distance of her career mark of .293.

The Scots scored single runs in the first and third innings before busting it open with a five-run fourth. Dickinson singled home the first run in the first, then her long homer in the third made it 2-0.

In the fourth, Jessica Harris delivered an RBI-single, Dickinson doubled home a pair and then Sydney Dickinson added a sacrifice fly to stake Scots pitcher Tia Stewart to a 7-0 lead.

Stewart Earns the Victory
Stewart pitched six innings, allowing four runs on four hits but just one earned run. She struck out five and walked three in boosting her record to 3-2 and lowering her ERA to 3.95. Kaylee Peyret pitched the seventh inning and allowed just one hit in grabbing her first collegiate save.

Olivia Harris was 2-for-2 in the game and 3-for-5 in the doubleheader, while Ashtyn Barga also went 2-for-2 in the Maryville win. The Scots pounded out 10 hits to match their second-best game total of the season.

In Game 2, Randolph outhit Maryville just 6-5 but took advantage of 11 walks and five errors by the Scots to prevail by the run rule in five innings.

Brecca Williams was 2-for-2 in the nightcap and 3-for-5 over the doubleheader. Paige Dickinson and Olivia Harris had run-scoring hits during Maryville's four-run third, and Peyret delivered an RBI-double in her only at bat.
