Men's SAA Indoor Conference Championships Showout

DANVILLE, Kentucky- Maryville College Track and Field continues breaking records this season following the SAA Indoor Conference Championships on February 27th and 28th. The Scots Men placed 7th with a score of 36 points. The men's team recorded 9 school records and 17 personal records in a strong overall performance.

Men's Recap- Scots Score 36 points with 26 new records.

In field events, multiple athletes delivered record-setting marks. Cam Robinson set a school record and personal best in the Weight Throw with 14.08m (9th).

Sky Pleasant posted a school record and personal best in Shot Put with 13.90m (5th) and added another PR in Weight Throw at 13.09m (13th).

Austin Umberger recorded school record personal bests in both the Long Jump (6.79m, 5th) and High Jump (1.80m, 9th).

Manny Palmer added a Triple Jump PR of 13.17m (6th) and Long Jump PR of 6.43m (10th).

Additional field PRs came from Lukas Yackley in Shot Put (12.42m, 11th), Joshua Panetta in Weight Throw (11.34m, 19th), Ashton Camp in Shot Put (12.16m, 12th), and Nolan Hutson in Pole Vault (2.80m, 7th). Sam Cocchia added a Pole Vault mark of 2.65m (9th).
 
On the track, Tyler Tangel set a school record and personal best in the 5000m with 16:30.54 (18th).

Clarence McLean ran a school record 6.90 (3rd) in the 60m after qualifying at 6.94, and later added a PR of 22.32 (2nd) in the 200m.

 The Distance Medley Relay team of Paul, Nathan, Adyn Elliott, and James LeNeve set a school record with 11:16.15 (7th).

James LeNeve added a school record and personal best in the Mile at 4:36.60 (12th) and contributed to the 4x400m relay PR of 3:45.43 (8th) alongside Nathan, Sam Cocchia, and Adyn Elliott.

Adyn Elliott also set a school record and personal best in the 800m with 2:02.72 (13th).

Collin Baker recorded a school record and personal best in the 3000m with 9:32.69 (20th).

Additional PRs were achieved by Steven Cope (5000m – 16:58.16; 3000m – 9:42.42), LaRue Tisby (60H – 7.31; 200m – 25.34), Zederick Drew (60H – 7.39), Gavin Hill (Mile – 5:15.17, SB), and Sam Cocchia (800m – 2:11.79), rounding out a record-setting meet for the men's squad.
