Kyler Long joined the Maryville Football coaching staff as a student assistant coach in summer 2023. Long is overseeing the running back position under head coach Ben Fox.

Long played offensive line for the Scots in 2016 and 2017. He helped Maryville win a share of the USA South Conference championship in 2016 with an 8-2 overall record and 6-1 in league play.

The Union Grove, North Carolina, native played at North Iredell High School before coming to the Scots. He is completing his Maryville College bachelor's degree in Math in May 2024.
