Cameron Earls

Head coach Pepe Fernandez announced in January 2022 the addition of Cameron Earls to the Maryville soccer staff as an assistant coach for both the men's and women's teams.

Earls has been a familiar face at the annual Maryville Soccer Camps, working under Fernandez and his staff since 2018. In that role, Earls assisted in coaching and teaching fundamentals of soccer and life skills, while also overseeing the supervision of overnight campers.

Earls completed a stellar playing career at Piedmont. In 2021, he led the USA South in goals with 18 and points with 36. Those numbers placed him ninth nationally in goals per game (1.12) and 17th in points per game (2.25). He finished his playing career with 73 games, 71 starts, 56 goals and nine assists for 121 points. Thirteen of his goals were game-winners.

He was named All-USA South First Team for the fourth time and later named CoSIDA Academic All-America for the second consecutive year.

Earls grew up in Tifton, Georgia, but spent his early childhood years in the East Tennessee town of Athens. He was inducted into the Tift County (Georgia) Athletics Hall of Fame in February 2023.

Earls and his wife, former Scots star Lexi Reeves, are the parents of a son, Sam.
