Jameson Elmore ‘21 joined the Maryville soccer coaching staff as Men’s and Women’s Assistant Coach and Men’s Recruiter in April 2023 after spending one year as a volunteer assistant.
The former Scot handles duties for both the men’s and women’s teams under head coach Pepe Fernandez and associate head coach Jon Baker.
During his undergraduate days, Elmore played in a program-record 89 matches and started every match of the team’s winning season of 2016. That season, the Scots went 18-3-0, won the USA South championship and advanced to the NCAA tournament.
He helped Maryville win three conference regular season titles, two league tournament championships and make a pair of appearances in the NCAAs. Elmore was named a 2021 United Soccer Coaches Player of Distinction, joining a group of just 184 NCAA soccer student-athletes from all three divisions.
A Knoxville native, Elmore helped Bearden High School to the 2016 Tennessee Class AAA state championship to cap a four-year varsity career.
Elmore graduated in 2021 from Maryville College with a degree in Exercise Science.
