Alex Carpenter joined the Scots broadcasting network in April 2025. 

In his position, the Troy, Tenn., native serves as a broadcaster for various Maryville College athletic programs, including men’s and women’s soccer and basketball, as well as baseball productions. Carpenter also assists with digital storytelling as a studio host and web contributor. 

Carpenter is set to graduate in December from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a degree in Journalism and Media and a minor in Sport Management. During his time as a student, he served as a media relations intern in the athletic department with all sports, as well as the sports director of the campus radio station WUTK. Carpenter has also spent time as an intern with the collegiate summer league baseball team, the Fulton Railroaders, locally with WVLT-TV, and also as an employee of WUOT-FM and Thunderbolt Radio Broadcasting.
