Brian Milan serves the Maryville College Athletics Department as Defensive Backs Coach. He joined the Scots coaching staff ahead of the 2026 season.
Milan comes to Maryville after a successful run at the high school level in East Tennessee, where he spent over 13 years developing student-athletes across multiple programs, including Unicoi County High School, Bearden High School, South-Doyle High School, and Farragut High School. Throughout his career, he has held a variety of leadership roles, including Assistant Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, and Special Teams Coordinator, giving him a well-rounded coaching background on both sides of the ball.
During his time in high school football, Milan helped mentor numerous student-athletes who advanced to compete at the collegiate level, as well as several who reached the professional ranks, including NFL tight end Nate Adkins of the Denver Broncos.
Prior to his return to Maryville College, Milan originally joined the Scots coaching staff in 2021 as a Running Backs Coach, gaining early collegiate experience within the program.
A former collegiate student-athlete at Maryville College, Milan played wide receiver under former head coach Tony Ireulli from 2007–2008 after being recruited as an athlete. He returned to complete his Bachelor’s degree in History from East Tennessee State University and later earned both a Master’s degree in Education and an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree from Lincoln Memorial University.
