Lauren Sutton joined Maryville College Athletics as the athletic communications assistant in August 2025.
Sutton arrived at Maryville after gaining extensive experience in athletic communications and sports event operations through her roles at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Penn State New Kensington. Most recently, she served as a Graduate Assistant at IUP, where she managed the James G. Mill Fitness Center, and she also served as the 2025 Pennsylvania Sports Business Conference Coordinator, where she oversaw speaker recruitment, sponsor engagement, and digital marketing efforts.
During her time at IUP, Sutton also worked as a Sports Information Student-Worker. She was responsible for keeping statistical records through NCAA LiveStats and PrestoStats, producing game programs and notes using Adobe InDesign, and maintained the athletic website.
Prior to her graduate work, Sutton was an intern for Penn State New Kensington Athletics for all four years of her undergrad. There, she assisted with live stats, event operations, student-worker training, and website management. She also held the role of Basketball Manager for both the men’s and women’s team, where she would coordinate practice schedules, prepare game-day materials, and manage their social medias.
Originally from Butler, Pennsylvania, Sutton earned her B.S. in Biobehavioral Health from Penn State New Kensington, and she just completed her M.S. in Sport Management at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
