Box Score Even after 110 minutes, no goals were scored in the men's soccer match between Maryville College and Greensboro College on Sunday afternoon in Greensboro, NC.
In a game that was thoroughly dominated by Maryville, the Scots were unable to find the back of the net despite having the better of the play. The Scots out shot the Pride 17-13 while putting 12 shots on frame to a mere four for the Pride.
"We had some opportunities today but didn't finish any of the balls we were able to get on frame," said head coach Pepe Fernandez. "I am pleased with our effort today after a tough game yesterday and of course we would have liked to pull out the 'W' but it just wasn't meant to be today."
The tie puts Maryville at 4-8-2 on the year and 2-2-1 in USA South action. The Scots will be in action again over Homecoming weekend next weekend when they host NC Wesleyan College on 1:00 pm Saturday and then again at 1:00 pm Sunday when they host Methodist University.
