Box Score The Maryville College men's basketball team dropped their second consecutive road challenge in Atlanta on Sunday with an 85-55 defeat at the hands of Emory University.
The Scots were out rebounded 54-37 for the game and could not overcome a 41-17 halftime disadvantage by shooting only 27% throughout the contest.
The Eagles (3-1) forced 21 MC turnovers en route to the 30 point victory.
Maryville (2-2) was led by Oscar Butler's 14 points on 5-for-14 shooting. Butler also paced MC on the boards with nine rebounds. Spencer Shoffner added 11 points on 4-of-10 shooting. Craig Raye and Jose Agosto each tossed in seven points. Jaumonee Byrd helped underneath in the paint with seven rebounds.
The Scots will look to snap their two game losing streak in Saturday, December 1st when they host Christopher Newport University to kick off their inaugural USA South schedule. Tip-off is slated for 2:00 in MC's Boydson Baird Gymnasium.
