Box Score The Maryville College men's soccer team finished off the regular season with a 3-1 loss at the hands of Greensboro College in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The Pride got on the scoreboard in the 31st minute when Kyle Giscombe connected on a penalty kick. Just three minutes later Morgan Stevenson crossed the ball for the left side and Craig Gage connected for a goal past MC keeper Ben Munger. At the half, Maryville trailed 2-0 after out shooting Greensboro 7-6.
Greensboro pulled away in the 59th minute when Drew Clukey assisted a rebound shot by Juan Vivas that found the back of the net.
Maryville tallied their only goal in the 64th minute when Alex Waddell took a Joe Pinkston throw in and headed it past Greensboro's Manbi Nyepon.
Greensboro advances to 10-5-2 overall and 6-3 in the USA South. Maryville falls to 9-4-2 while going 6-3 in USA South challenges. Seedings will be announced on Sunday for the 2013 USA South Championships beginning on November 2nd.
