Box Score The Fighting Scots of Maryville College overcame a one goal half time deficient to defeat Anderson University 5-2 in Indiana on Friday evening.
Maryville lived up to their 'Fighting Scots' moniker falling behind early but dominating the second half, scoring the first four goals of the second half. Alex Waddell tied the game up at one just three minutes into the second half. Just over a minute later, Brent Seltzer added another Maryville goal. Both goals were unassisted. Eight minutes later Waddell, the sophomore from Maryville, would add his second goal of the game teaming up with Seltzer, the Knoxville native for the eventual game winner. Seltzer would finish off his heroics for the evening with a goal in the 62nd minute of the game.
Anderson University added a second goal in the 84th minute before Alex Waddell finished off his hat trick with the help of Joe Pinkston in the 85th minute of the game.
Maryville will conclude its weekend trip to Indiana by playing Earlham on Saturday, kickoff is slated for 3:30 pm.
