Box Score The Maryville College Scots Men's Soccer team recorded their second shutout of the season against Oglethorpe University with the final score of 3-0.
The Scots keeper Ben Munger combined with great defensive work of the Scots held the Stormy Petrels of Oglethorpe University to a shutout Wednesday evening on the campus of Maryville College.
Maryville's offense lead the attack with a goal from Seth Douthat assisted by Randy Reichenburger in the 26th minute of the game scoring the only goal of the first half.
The Scots would pull ahead to a 2-0 lead early in the 51st minute of second half on a goal from senior David Lethco assisted by Randy Reichenburger. Maryville would connect on its final goal of the contest from Cody VanKerschaever unassisted in the 79th minute leading to the final score of 3-0.
The Scots defense held the Stormy Petrels to only 10 shots 4 of which were on goal. Maryville's offensive attack 9 shots 6 of which were on goal.
The men will face University of the Ozarks at home on Saturday September 13th at 2:00pm.
