Box Score The Maryville College men's soccer team picked up its fourth win of the season after defeating Sewanee 5-0.
The Scots posted yet another shutout, their third in the last four games thanks to great play from keepers Ben Munger and Jon Taylor.
Thomas Palmer would put the Scots on the board first scoring a goal on a penalty kick in the 31st minute. Maryville would hold on to its 1-0 lead at the half. The Scots offense sparked in the second half scoring four goals within 11 minutes. Sean Yoder found the back of the net in the 59th minute on an assist from Tim Baker to get things going for Maryville in the second half. Thomas Palmer scored his second goal of the game in the 61st minute putting the Scots ahead 3-0. The Scots would score yet again on a goal form Kory Yarlett assisted by Russell Kinion in the 70th minute. Only 13 seconds later the Scots would score again on an unassisted goal from Konner Dozark jumping ahead to the would be final score of 5-0.
The Scots look to continue their great play as they open up conference Friday September 19 at home against William Peace at 4:00 pm.
