Box Score Scots suffer tough 3-1 loss against in-region foe Millsaps College Majors at neutral site Covenant College.
Although tabbed with the loss the Scots out shot the Majors 17 to 16 on the day. Millsaps recorded 9 shots on goal to Maryville's 6. Jonathan Huebbe of Millsaps received the decision for the win saving 5 of Maryville's 6 shots on goal.
The Majors jumped ahead to an early lead in first half scoring in the 16th minute, but the Scots defense held Millsaps to a 1-0 lead at the half. Millsaps would strike again scoring in the second half of the 59th minute. The Scots would get on the board in the 69th minute on a header from senior David Lethco assisted by Randy Reichenburger. With the score of 2-1 Millsaps scored again late in the 72nd minute pulling ahead to 3-1.
