Box Score The Maryville College men's soccer program battled to a 0-0 tie against USA South rival Greensboro College in Greensboro, North Carolina on Saturday evening.
Each team directed four shots in the first half, but keepers Ryan Jorgensen (Maryville) and Jaime Payamps (Greensboro) kept the nets clean before intermission.
The Pride increased their offensive attacks in the final regulation period outshooting MC 8-2. Once again, the keepers of the net were flawless.
During the first overtime period, Maryville could not get off a shot as Greensboro pushed four attempts toward the Scots' net with no luck.
In the final overtime, the Pride directed three shots but MC's Jorgensen stood strong in net.
Maryville's Johnny Rakhmonberdiev paced the Scots with a pair of shots, one on goal. Greensboro's Carlos Barragan and Gerardo Peraza each tallied five shots for the Pride's offense.
MC's Jorgensen tallied seven saves during the tie in net while Greensboro's Payamps added five saves to keep the nets clean.
The push moves Maryville to 13-2-1 overall and 8-1-1 in USA South action. Greensboro moves to 13-4-1, 8-1-1 in league play.
Maryville will conclude their regular season slate on Wednesday when they host USA South foe Piedmont College at 6:30 p.m.
