Scots end regular season with 4-2 loss at Greensboro

The Maryville College men's soccer program finished their USA South regular season schedule with a 4-2 loss at the hands of Greensboro College in Greensboro, North Carolina on Saturday evening.

Greensboro (11-6-2, 9-3-1 USA South) tallied a trio of goals in the first half. Darli Mihindou scored in the first minute of the league challenge. In the 13th minute Geredo Peraza made the score 2-0 in favor of the hosts before Jacobs Owens assisted in a Peraza goal to give the Pride a 3-0 halftime advantage.

In the 64th minute Maryville's Jorge Valdivia tallied his second goal of the season to make the score 3-1.

The Pride posted an insurance goal when Mihindou finished off a brace off a Parker Spesock assist in the 68th minute.

Maryville added a late goal when Austin Vinyard drove home a penalty kick for his fifth goal of the season.

The Scots end the regular season 10-8 overall and 8-5 in USA South action. MC will finish second in the USA South west division with tournament seeds set to be released on Sunday.
