MARYVILLE - Ndubueze Henry scored his fourth goal in three games, but it wasn't enough as the Scots fell to Asbury 2-1 on Friday night.

The Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute when Luke Thomas scored his second goal of the season. Nick Clark and Josh Dluhos each recorded an assist on the play.

Asbury's next goal would come from Micah Schneider in the 32nd minute as he powered past the Maryville defense scoring an unassisted goal and extending the Eagle's lead to 2-0.

In the 43rd minute, Maryville was awarded a penalty kick.
William Bryan would take the shot for the Scots, firing the ball low and to the right where Eagles goalkeeper Collin McKibben deflected it for a save. Without missing a beat, Henry rebounded the ball, shooting it to the empty part of the net for a goal to make it 2-1. Bryan earned an assist on the play.

Maryville had plenty of chances to tie it up in the second half, outshooting Asbury 13-2 in the final 45 minutes. They also had a 6-0 edge in corner kicks but were unable to capitalize on any of their opportunities.

By the end of the game, the Scots had outshot the Eagles 20-8 and held a 9-1 margin in corners. Maryville also had the advantage in time of possession, holding the ball for 58 percent of the matchup, compared to Asbury's 42 percent.

The Scots now sit at 2-5-5 and look ahead to tomorrow as they travel to Asheville, North Carolina to take on Warren Wilson in their final non-conference matchup of the season.
