MARYVILLE – Bryson Rollins continues to make things easy for the USA South conference office.
Football Rookie of the Week? Just pencil in the Maryville first-year quarterback.
Rollins picked up his third USA South Rookie of the Week award in four tries after helping the Scots to their first victory of the season, a 37-17 triumph Saturday at Greensboro. Rollins in the game accounted for all four Maryville offensive touchdowns, with three passing and one rushing. His three passing TDs came in the first quarter as the Scots built a 20-3 lead, and then his rushing TD in the second quarter made it a 27-3 game at halftime.
Rollins finished the afternoon 22-of-36 passing for 301 yards without an interception.
The Scots are back in action Saturday at home against Huntingdon in a 1 p.m. kickoff.
