Scots Record Road Draw at Transy

Maryville Defense Continues Strong Run to Open Season

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Maryville's defense continued its stellar play Thursday afternoon, playing to a 0-0 draw against Transylvania.

The Scots have allowed just one goal in three games played this season and have recorded back-to-back shutouts.

Despite being unable to find the back of the net in this contest, MC outshot the Pioneers 12-6, led by three shots apiece from Madison McDonald and Katie O'Brien.

"It was a really good game," Maryville head coach Pepe Fernandez said. "We created so many opportunities and moved the ball really well."

The Scots also had an advantage in corner kicks, recording seven compared to just one from Transylvania.
