It took until midway in the second half but then the Scots broke the match open. Katie Corley scored her first of the season in the 66th minute, and Sadie Phelan followed two minutes later with her first of the season. Anne Marie Konieczny and Maci Sherick assisted on the Corley score, and Smoot set up the Phelan goal.

Sierra Lee left no doubt in the 74th minute when she scored her third of the season and second of the classic for a 4-0 Scots lead. Madison McDonald contributed the assist.

Bob Jones broke through for a goal in the closing seconds, with Celeste Baladi scoring off a feed from Abby Nelson for the final 4-1 score line.

Smoot, McDonald and Anabelle Procter led the Scots with four shot attempts each, followed by three each from Lee, Konieczny and Sherick. All three Konieczny chances were on target.
