The Scots head to the premier men's basketball tournament in DII this weekend, the Great Lakes Invitational. Maryville will face off against #8 Carthage today at 5 PM, and then will play Washington & Jefferson Saturday at 7:30 PM.
The Firebirds of Carthage come into the game at 2-0 after defeating Saint Mary's (Minn.) 98-75, and Alma College 79-60. Last year, Carthage finished 21-7 and made the NCAA Tournament as an at-large bid, ultimately falling to St. Norbert College in the first round.
