CCS RELEASE
MARYVILLE – Haney, Tharpe, and Wright were named to CCS All-Conference teams on Tuesday ahead of the team's game against LaGrange in the Quarterfinal of the conference tournament.
Ella Haney was named to the All-CCS First Team after totaling 310 points, 125 rebounds, 37 assists, 21 steals, and shooting 40.2% from the floor. Haney, one of the team captains, led the team in points scored and in three pointers made. Last season, the junior from Murfreesboro was named to the All-CCS Second Team.
Ella Tharpe, the junior from Knoxville, earned All-CCS Second Team honors, totaling 224 points, 42 steals, 83 rebounds, 41 assists, and shooting 53.4% from the field (second in the conference). Tharpe totaled the most minutes played on the team with 726 (29.0 per game).
Freshman
Victoria Wright garnered All-Sportsmanship honors from the conference after being nominated to the team by the league's coaches. Wright played in 11 games this season and shot 38.5% from the floor and boasted a 90% free throw percentage
