WILMORE, Ky. - In their CCS regular season finale, the Scots fell to first place Asbury 0-7.
In doubles play, the Scots started down 0-2 in sets with Jackson Meyer and Field Myatt falling first at the one spot 6-2. Eli Cauthorn and Jonathan Crane also fell 6-2 at the three spot. James Smith and Luka Romano put up an excellent effort at the two spot, falling in extra sets 77-63.
Singles competition was less than ideal for Maryville, with the Scots falling in every set. James Smith tried his best to lift his team up with a competitive set, but couldn't quite seal the deal. He fell 6-3, 7-5 to Alejandro Caceres, which ended the match for the teams at 7-0 Asbury.
The Scots look to rebound tomorrow against non-conference foe Earlham before CCS tournament action begins next Thursday the 24th in Chattanooga.Â
