NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Maryville College's
Bryson Rollins and Vanderbilt's CJ Heard were named Tennessee Sports Writers Association Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, on Tuesday, as announced by the organization.
Rollins completed 29-of-36 passes for 502 yards and five touchdowns, setting a school and conference record for passing yards in a single game. He tossed touchdown passes of 17, 35, 75, eight and 36 yards, with three scoring throws in the second quarter and two more in the third period. He broke the previous record of 497 passing yards in the Southern Athletic Association set in 2017 by Miles Thompson from Rhodes College.
