Prisma Health Named Exclusive and Preferred Healthcare Provider of The Scots

MARYVILLE, Tenn. - Maryville College Athletics is proud to announce a new partnership with Prisma Health, naming the organization as the exclusive and preferred healthcare provider of the Scots. This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to the health and success of student-athletes, while also creating meaningful opportunities to engage with the Maryville community.

As part of the partnership, Prisma Health will serve as the game sponsor for this Saturday's football game versus Pikeville and a basketball game this season, providing free admission to fans for those games. These events will offer the Maryville and Blount County communities a chance to enjoy collegiate athletics at no cost, while spotlighting Prisma Health's dedication to supporting student-athletes both on and off the field.

The partnership also extends beyond athletics. Prisma Health and Maryville College will work together to create volunteer opportunities for student-athletes at Blount Memorial Hospital, furthering the College's mission of community service and engagement. This initiative will allow student-athletes to give back to the local community while gaining valuable experiences in a healthcare setting.

"We have a longstanding history with Maryville College, and we value the opportunities we have to work together," CEO Jonathan Smith said. "Supporting students, whether on the field, in a gym, or in the classroom, is important as we look to inspire health, serve with compassion, and be the difference in our community. We look forward to working alongside Maryville College President Dr. Bryan Coker and his teams to explore additional opportunities for Prisma Health to partner with Maryville College."

Additionally, Prisma Health will sponsor the Maryville College Student-Athletes of the Month program, recognizing outstanding athletic performance, leadership, and academic achievement throughout the year.

"We are thrilled to welcome Prisma Health as our healthcare partner," said Maryville College Director of Athletics Andrew Wu. "Prisma has been active in establishing itself in the Maryville and Blount County communities, and I'm excited and appreciative to announce our partnership – one that we expect to grow in the coming years."

Athletic training services will continue to be provided by Maryville College staff led by Head Athletic Trainer Jenny Massey.

With this new agreement, Prisma Health joins the Scots family as an essential partner in advancing the mission of Maryville College Athletics: developing leaders through sport, service, and scholarship.
