With the Scots ahead 11-9, Trinity responded with a 6-0 run to move in front, 15-11. Kills from Vaiese and Ruby Walton helped Maryville stay within reach, but the Tigers used another 5-0 run to extend their advantage to 20-13. Trinity closed out the set, 25-15.

The Tigers scored the first two points of the second set before a kill from Appleby and consecutive Trinity errors helped Maryville take a 3-1 lead. Trinity opened the third set with three straight points before a kill from Grubbs and another attack error interrupted the Tigers' early momentum.
