CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL
ATLANTA, Ga. (April 27, 2026) - The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced the official bracket and seedings for the 2026 CCS Softball Championship Tournament, set for Wednesday, April 29 through Saturday, May 2 at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Alabama.
Tournament play begins Wednesday, April 29, with two opening-round matchups:
- No. 4 seed Maryville (26-14, 11-5 CCS) faces No. 5 seed LaGrange (14-22, 9-7 CCS) at 11 a.m. CT to open the tournament.
- No. 3 seed Piedmont (24-14, 11-5 CCS) takes on No. 6 seed Covenant (14-26, 5-11 CCS) in the second game of the day.
Piedmont secured the No. 3 seed via a head-to-head tiebreaker over Maryville, while Covenant secured the No. 6 seed through the league's tiebreaking procedures based on results against conference opponents.
The tournament's top two seeds enter play on Thursday's quarterfinal round, where they will face Wednesday's winners.
No. 1 seed Belhaven (32-8, 15-1 CCS), which dropped just one conference game all season, will meet the winner of the Maryville-LaGrange matchup.
No. 2 seed Huntingdon (29-8, 13-3 CCS) will take on the winner of the Piedmont-Covenant contest.
From there, teams will continue through the double-elimination bracket, with semifinal action set for Friday and championship Saturday looming. The tournament concludes with the 2026 CCS Softball Championship game on Saturday, May 2 at 12 p.m. CT, where one team will be crowned conference champion.
