Liam Gorman serves the Maryville College Athletics Department as a member of the football coaching staff. He joined the Scots ahead of the 2026 season after gaining experience across multiple collegiate programs.

Gorman comes to Maryville from Massachusetts Maritime, where he served as Assistant Head Coach from 2023-2025. During his tenure, he contributed to all aspects of the program, including player development, game planning, and recruiting.

Prior to Massachusetts Maritime, Gorman coached at Concordia University Wisconsin in 2022, working with the running backs and tight ends. He also spent time at Northern Illinois University, where he coached cornerbacks and assisted with special teams while completing his master’s degree.

Gorman began his collegiate coaching career at Assumption College as an Operations and Quality Control Coach, gaining experience in film breakdown, practice organization, and opponent scouting.

A former student-athlete, Gorman earned his Bachelor’s degree from Nichols College in 2020 before continuing his education at Northern Illinois.

Gorman brings a well-rounded background with experience on both sides of the ball and special teams, along with a strong foundation in player development and recruiting.

Coach Gorman lives in Louisville with his wife, Annie, and his daughter, Avery.
