Dr. Travis Groth is a family medicine doctor in Alcoa, Tenn., and he has worked with Maryville College Athletics since the fall of 2019.

Groth, a Maryville College graduate, received his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, and he has worked the East Tennessee Medical Group since 2014. Groth completed his residency with East Tennessee State University's Kingsport Family Physicians, where he was named chief resident and executive chief resident. He's also worked as a phlebotomist at Blount Memorial Hospital's laboratory between 2006 and 2007.

He is certified through the American Osteopathic Association, Allopathic Family Boards and the Osteopathic Family Boards. Prior to his time helping Maryville College Athletics, Groth was the team doctor for Greenback High School's football team.
