Box Score The Maryville College volleyball team opened the weekend in Virginia with a tough road loss to Randolph Macon College late Friday evening. The Yellow Jackets (21-5) swept the Scots (17-11) by the score of 3-0. MC was outscored 25-15, 25-23, and 25-21 in the key non-conference, regional loss.
Kelsey Handel paced Maryville at the net with 10 kills. She added four blocks on defense. Kara Strickland posted nine kills and a dozen digs. Teri Lind finished with 23 assists while Mallory Bonee directed the defense with 21 digs.
Randolph Macon was paced by Mallory Carter's 16 kills.
The Scots will continue their road trip on Saturday as they complete their regular season conference action with matches against Mary Baldwin College and Methodist University in Staunton, Virginia.
