The Maryville College volleyball team advanced to 8-0 in the USA South to maintain their league lead with a pair of match sweeps over Mary Baldwin and Greensboro in Greensboro, North Carolina this afternoon.
The Scots defeated Mary Baldwin 3-0 by the scores of 25-14, 25-19, and 25-7. Sophia del Campo paced all players at the net with a match-high 12 kills. Madison Coker added six kills while Jaclyn Stephens and Mary Kate White each posed five kills. Morgan Hall tallied 18 assists while Mallory Bonee recorded nine digs. Stephanie Gleason added seven digs while Jillian Galewski posted four service aces.
The finale saw MC turn away Greensboro 3-0 by the scores of 25-19, 25-10, and 25-15. Kristen Sharp finished with a double-double on 10 kills and 18 digs. Abrianna Jones stroked ten kills while Kelsey Handel and Mary Kate White added 9 and 8 kills respectively. Lauren Bonee and Kristi Bowlin combined for 30 assists while Mallory Bonee helped the defense with 15 digs.
Maryville (11-15, 8-0 USA South) will travel to Covenant College on Tuesday for a mid-week USA South challenge in Lookout Mountain, Goergia.
