Box Score 1 The Maryville College volleyball team went 1-2 at the Emory Invitational this weekend in Atlanta, Georgia.
On Friday, The Scots were swept by the Emory Eagles 3-0 by the scores of 25-12, 25-18, and 25-14. Kelsey Handel posted 10 kills to pace MC. Julie Vineyard added six kills. Mallory Bonee and Kristen Sharp combined for 34 digs on defense.
The opening match on Saturday saw Wellesley turn MC away 3-0 by the scores of 25-14, 25-22, 25-14. Handel tallied five kills while Sharp added four kills. Mallory Bonee and Sharp finished with 13 digs apiece.
The tournament finale saw Maryville defeat Emory & Henry 3-1.
Maryville (3-14, 1-0 USA South) will prepare for their first USA South road challenge this upcoming weekend in LaGrange, Georgia and Demorest, Georgia.
